- A suitable skills assessment is required in an occupation that is on the relevant skilled occupation list
- Age Requirement
- Under 50 years of age
- Language Requirement
- Proving competent English proficiency to the D.I.B.P. Link
- Points Test
- Meeting the qualifying score based on the points test
Skilled Independent migration is designed for people with professional or trade qualifications. To qualify you must first have your skills assessed in Australia by the relevant assessing authority before you can lodge your visa application with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection. You will usually have to achieve a pass mark in a points test.
